Paver Project at Town Center of Corte Madera
Project Description
The Legacy Paver Group was selected to install pavers as part of the modernization of several Bay Area Shopping Centers including Bay Plaza in Emeryville, Napa Town Center, Red Hill Shopping Center and the Town Center of Corte Madera.
As part of a comprehensive reconstruction project and facelift at the Town Center of Corte Madera, The Legacy Paver Group was selected to remove all old and dated pavers throughout the shopping areas and install new pavers in multiple designs, paver styles and colors.
“This was a dream come true for a designer like myself,” says Hayley “It’s something I could really sink my teeth into. It was a challenging project involving multiple sub-contractors working around and on top of each other. And of course we were working around shops and restaurants whose owners and managers were looking forward to the end results, but were not particularly happy to have us on their doorstep.”
The design provided by Landesign Landscape Architects was well thought out, modern and intricate, which required experience and attention to detail. Each section provided its own challenges, from multiple color accents and patterns and inlays to specific grid layouts and color transitions. In addition to the patterns and colors, Legacy was responsible for grading corrections and modernizing the drainage inlets.
In addition to day shifts, the Legacy crew worked multiple night shifts in order to minimize impact on the tenants during this extensive construction project.
The scope of the reconstruction project included new outdoor spaces, water features and sculptures, dog drinking stations, and new landscaping and building facades.
